western business attire

The dress code for all committee sessions is Western business attire. This means a dress shirt and pants, suit jacket, tie, and dress shoes for gentlemen and a smart suit or dress for ladies. Running shoes, jeans, and other casual wear are not acceptable in committee.

For the delegate social, we urge you to use your discretion in dressing comfortably but appropriately. EmpireMUNC reserves the right to turn away delegates at the door who are not dressed appropriately at our discretion.

DELEGATE EXPECTATIONS

Model UN, as a institution of debate, brings conflicting ideas and opinions into contact. However, while conflict can be a healthy driver of growth, EmpireMUNC expects all participants to behave with respect and consideration for their peers and staff-members. As an organization, EmpireMUNC considers harassment and bullying unacceptable behavior and grounds for dismissal.

Delegates should conduct themselves in accordance with all school-policies under the discretion of their advisor during the conference, and be in compliance with all NYU policies for the duration of their time on campus. We thank all participants for complying with the instructions of all NYU officials during the conference.
